Tutorial Three - Blogging

Blogger http://www.blogger.com/ was launced in 1999. A blog can be: a personal diary, a daily pulpit, collaborative space, a political soapbox, a breaking news outlet, one's own private thoughts or memo's to the world! Basically whatever you want it to be. It is a website where you write/post "stuff" on an ongoing basis. Blogging has impacted on politics, shaken up journalism and it enables millions of people to have a voice. It is an outlet to share opinions, organise your thoughts or influence worldwide audiences. If you have something to say - blogger will help you say it! However you can control who reads your work - it can be just a few or the entire world - you decide who you connect with.

This is a great tool for Occupational Therapists to use to enable sharing of valid information. Of course there is always the concern about who has posted information, their background and education in the field. However, I see blogger as an ideal way to connect with like minded people and read, comment and share thoughts and information.

Blogger has templates available to help you customise your blog. You can also post and share photo's on your blog. And best of all it's totally free! Now we can't say that about many things in today's world!
